Mark Collingham, Head Coach
Coach Mark Collingham has BS/MS degrees in Chemical Engineering from WSU and a MBA in Technology Management from UoP. He worked for a number of years on engineering processes for chemical, circuit board and hybrid manufacturing before moving into management. Mark has played water polo since 1980. Prior to that he was one of a dozen inaugural members of the Tri-City Channel Cats swim team. He went on to a swimming scholarship for WSU and played/coached water polo there for 6 years. Coach Collingham has played for and coached a number of other teams, including Washington State University, Milwaukee Water Polo, Old Pueblo Water Polo, and the University of Arizona. Since moving to Coeur d’Alene, Mark has been coaching the CHS, CDA/Kroc and North Idaho Water Polo clubs since 2011. In his spare time, he also does some consulting work and usually has a project or two around his property in Cougar Gulch.
Israel Morrow, Coach
Coach Israel holds a B.A. in History from CSU San Bernardino and an M.S. in Athletic Administration from Ohio University. His experience spans various roles in swimming and water polo, having contributed to teams such as Canyon Lake Aquatics, Riverside Aquatics Association, Elsinore High School Swim Team, Mt. San Antonio College for Water Polo and Swimming, Silverwood SRA State Lifeguard Water Polo Club, and Extreme Aquatics as an Assistant Coach. He served as the Head Coach for Lake Elsinore Lakeside High School’s Swim Team and Water Polo from 2013 to 2021 and continues to share his expertise as the coach for Kroc CDA Water Polo Club from 2023.
Doug Keese, Coach
Doug swam and played with SPPY Swim Team, PVPHS Swim & Water Polo teams and the University of Redlands. Doug has also coached water polo as the JKC Aquatics Director as well as the Miraleste Swim/Water Polo Club. Doug has been coaching with the Kroc/CDA Club since 2016.
Katelyn Smith, Coach
Katelyn played water polo and swam with Chehalem Water Polo and Swim teams and has also played with Newberg High School, San Diego State, OMBAC Masters and NYU Water Polo before moving to CDA in 2017 and helping the club since then.
Jacob Hartman, Coach
Jacob brings an excellent water polo background, including playing for a number of years with Elite WPC and selection as 1st Team All League, Southwest Conference. He also played for Riverside City College and took on several stints as a coach for Elite WPC, Westside Aquatics and started, managed and coached Elsinore Aquatics in California. He is excited to bring his knowledge and experience to our program and help us continue to be one of the top water polo programs in the Northwest!
Marshall Soltman, Coach
Marshall swam for Tualatin Hills Swim Club and played water polo for Tualatin Hills Water Polo Club in Portland, Oregon. He also played water polo and swam for Beaverton High School before moving to San Diego and swimming and playing for Grossmont College. After college Marshall coached the Lincoln High School swim team and started an open water polo program at the Multnomah Athletic Club. He also has many years of experience officiating water polo for the OWPOA and the SDWPOA services.
Amanda Longan, Coach
Coach Amanda is a goalkeeper for Team USA. She is a 2x Olympian that has been with the senior national team since 2017. She competed in both the Tokyo 2020ne Olympics where her team won gold and in Paris 2024. She is also a 4x World Champion. Collegiately, she competed for USC from 2016-2019, winning 2 NCAA Championships as a freshman and a junior and was a Peter J. Cutino Award (equivalent to the Heisman) winner in her 2018 season. Amanda has coached at both the high school and college level, is a goalkeeper coach for 68 Academy (owned by Tony Azevedo and Maggie Steffens) and is an assistant coach at UCLA under head coach Adam Wright. Amanda still continues to train and compete with Team USA with the hope to also compete in the LA 2028 Olympics. She has a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from USC and is currently in graduate school through Pepperdine University pursuing her master’s in Clinical Psychology.
